PRESS KIT

Curated by Blayne Pearce Planit
in collaboration with Projet Moné and BFA
Around Here brings together sixteen artists whose practices exist in close proximity. Through painting, sculpture, and design, the exhibition offers a snapshot of a local creative ecosystem — where distinct approaches sit alongside one another, shaped by shared space and everyday exchange.
In a city as expansive and fragmented as New York, the exhibition intends to inspire a moment of pause: a closer look at the fabric of a neighborhood and the artists who give it form. At its core, Around Here considers how culture is built through proximity, and what emerges when artists work in relation rather than in isolation.
